The humans behind the dogs.

Really, if we’re being honest, that’s all we are. But we’re ok with that. Not a day goes by where we don’t hear: “Omg your dogs!!! 3 dogs??? Where’s your dogsled??” Ok, the last one drives us nuts, but generally we’re good sports about it. New material people… sheesh! Also, think about it logically, you can’t run a dogsled in the summer. Right? *sigh*

I think what people really want to know is what kind of people get 3 huskies? Are they nuts?

And the short answer is yes. Yes, we are. In a kooky, entertaining kind of way.

You can find a bit more on how we ended up with 3 dogs here but Dustin and I’s story started a few years before the dogs. They say when you know, you know. And we knew. We dated for a year and got married in our living room in sweatpants. No biggie. I was a journalism student (9 classes, an internship, and work) and Dustin had just become the second in command at a huge restaurant chain. Our lives were chaos.

So we thought, hey… lets get three huskies. Silly not to right?

Over the years, careers changed, education goals changed, WE changed. But through it all, our little family was held together by three little balls of fluff. We’ve learned to take things one step at a time, enjoy the bumps and look back on the chaos with fond memories.

After our trip, our plan is to both go back to school AGAIN. Dustin for teaching and myself for law. But who knows where we’ll end up. I can tell you one thing though, it’ll include 2 walks a day and a lot of dog hair.
